1. Agreement
By downloading or using CustomBudget ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. The App is provided by CustomApps LLC ("we", "us").
2. What CustomBudget is
CustomBudget is a personal budgeting tool that runs entirely on your device. You enter your own transactions and the App stores everything locally.
CustomBudget is a record-keeping tool, not financial advice. It does not connect to your bank, cannot move money, and does not verify that what you enter is accurate. Nothing it displays is a recommendation, and you should not treat its figures as a substitute for your bank’s own records or for advice from a qualified professional.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to use the App.
4. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal use.
You may not: reverse-engineer or decompile the App except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted; resell, sublicense or redistribute it; or remove proprietary notices.
5. Your data is your responsibility
This is the most important term in this document.
Your data is stored only on your device. We have no copy and no way to recover it.
Back it up: Settings → Export Backup, free, always. If you delete the App, lose or reset your device, or restore a backup over newer data, that data is permanently gone and we cannot restore it.
Restoring a backup replaces existing data. The App keeps a seven-day undo snapshot, but you are responsible for confirming what you are restoring.
You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you enter, and for keeping your device secure.
6. Price
CustomBudget is provided free of charge, with no in-app purchases and no subscription.
Entering and exporting your own data is free and always will be. If a paid tier is ever introduced, it will gate convenience and analysis features, never access to what you have already entered.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its name, design and code are owned by CustomApps LLC. The budget data you enter is yours — we claim no rights over it whatsoever.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that calculations will suit your circumstances, or that reminders and notifications will always be delivered — notification delivery depends on your device’s operating system and settings, which are outside our control. Do not rely solely on the App for a payment you cannot afford to miss.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CUSTOMAPPS LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, MISSED PAYMENTS, OVERDRAFT OR LATE FEES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts may not apply to you.
10. Changes to the App or these Terms
We may update the App or these Terms. Material changes will be signalled by updating the date at the top of this page and, where the change matters, notifying you in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may terminate this licence if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 5, 7, 8, 9 and 12 survive termination.
12. General
Governing law: the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Severability: if a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us regarding the App.
Third-party services: the App does not use any third-party service that receives your data. See the Privacy Policy.
